ChessGridBase is built so you can play without creating an account. Board state lives in your browser. AI moves and Hint run in a Web Worker on your device. Closing the tab does not upload a “player profile.”
What stays on your device
- Current board position and move history while you play
- Difficulty and puzzle progress when applicable
- Record (win / loss / draw) in this browser
- Sound on/off preference (default off until you enable it)
- Light / dark theme preference
- PWA install dismiss preference
Clear site data, use a private window, or switch browsers, and those values start fresh. We cannot restore a game you wiped.
Accounts
There are none. No sign-up, no password, no cloud sync of your board. Installing as a PWA still points at this origin; it does not create a user database.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YW0CLV57VQ) for aggregate traffic. Analytics is not tied to your board state or an account.
Ads
Display ads are not enabled today. Placeholders in the layout are empty slots. If ads turn on later, this page will be updated. Ads will not sit on top of the playable board.

If storage, analytics, or ads change in a way that matters, we update this page. Also see terms and contact.
