What this site is

ChessGridBase offers free browser chess with a local AI, puzzles, and how-to pages that keep a live board nearby. Local progress stays in your browser. Hints suggest a move with a short idea; they are practice aids, not a guarantee you will win.

Using the site does not create a professional, advisory, tutoring, or employment relationship. This is a game — not a school-filter workaround and not an accredited course.

As-is availability

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind — including accuracy of hints, engine strength, completeness of guides, or uninterrupted uptime. We may change controls, rename pages, or take the site offline.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChessGridBase and its operators are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site, including lost local boards or Records, time spent following a Hint, device performance, or downtime.

Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us specifically to use ChessGridBase in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0) or (b) USD $50, to the extent enforceable.

Acceptable use

• Play and practice for personal use
• Do not distribute malware, phishing, or cheat injectors
• Do not scrape for bulk dumps or republish substantial content as your own commercial product
• Do not misrepresent ChessGridBase as a multiplayer lobby, multi-game portal, or Chess.com product
• Do not use the site to break applicable law
